Our Reception team now triage every call by asking you a few questions regarding the nature of your appointment.  This is so they can navigate you to the best clinician in our team to treat you.  As our team is expanding this may not by a doctor. Please try to help them by giving us as much information as possible as to why you would like an appointment.


We would like to welcome Sam Barker  to our clinical team.  Sam joins us as a mental health nurse who will be able to see our patients with any mental health problems including depression, anxiety, stress etc.  


We would like to welcome Dr Faatima Bala to our clinical team.  Dr Bala joins us as a permanent salaried GP working 6 sessions per week.  


Following the new GDPR rules that came into force on 25th May we have updated our privacy notice.  This can be found on the link below or in the Privacy Notice section of the website.


We will be recalling all our patients for their annual chronic disease review starting 1st April.  You may receive a text appointment or letter inviting you to attend.  We have arranged our clinic reviews so that, where possible, one review appointment will cover all the chronic diseases you may have.  Please attend this review even if you are seen regularly by the doctor or attend the hospital for this condition. 


Apps present a fantastic opportunity to not only improve the quality of our healthcare, but also help us to live healthier lives. The market is awash with apps, though, and we have no ability to see whether what is being downloaded will actually improve our health or if our personal data will be stored safely.

At the Practice, we want to ensure that if you are using apps to look after yourselves or manage any conditions you have, or if you are looking to start using them, you can find the best and safest ones available.

For this reason, we would like to make you aware of bolton.orcha.co.uk - essentially a comparison website for health and care apps.  On there you can see how an app performs along three main strands: user experience, clinical effectiveness (i.e. how well it works) and data security (because we know how seriously we all take this these days).

As a Practice we will be working to support you with using apps to support your self-care - so next time you're in, if it feels appropriate, we might well ask if you're interested in using an app to help you live more healthily.
